Report: Russian car deficit to last through January–June 2022

MOSCOW, Dec 24 (PRIME) – Russia’s car deficit will continue through January–June 2022 due to the problems with supplies of electronic components, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said in an interview to Rossiya 24 television channel broadcast on Friday.

“We feel the lack of car industry’s products for the consumers. It will likely to go on through the first half of next year,” he said.

“It is connected in the first place to the fact that the supplies of car components are limited, of electronic components in the first place, and I mean the chips.”
